How to shape traffic in Gentoo? I cant find shapecfg included in other linux distributions.  |

Just realised that the only app that did that (at least that I knew of) it was removed from portage.

I use the wondershaper script from lartc.org. I run it as an external script called from Shorewall, which is in portage, but you should be able to just call it from an init script.
Download the tar and read the README inside. It gives some instructions on required kernel modules, and how to tweak the script for your connection speeds. |
