Ok, I've read many of the posts in the forums here about PAM, udev, and permissions, and none seem to have a specific answer to the problem I'm encountering.
If I am logged in directly from the console (no matter what user) my permissions for /dev/tts/* are reset to root:root 0600. I can correct this when I log back in and execute udevstart, but it is reset upon logout.
I've attempted somebody's suggestion by removing /etc/security/console.perms without any effect.
The permissions seem to keep when logging in via ssh, but not from the console.
I'm running:
sys-fs/udev-045
kernel 2.6.10-rc3 i686
Any help? |
