hello... i want to use different mail clients.. and therefore i have setup a local imap server to store my mail.. however i need to fetch it too.. right now evolution does that, however i want something like fetchmail or getmail, but i found those 2 to suck, and i am wondering if there exists some good one, that supports filtering and putting into different folders on a imap server and stuff...
thanks |

What is it specifically about fetchmail that sucks? Worked perfectly here with a minimal amount of configuration and never fails me. |

Hi, DarkStalker. Have you given procmail a try? Seems to me that is what you are looking for?
I'm using that for my Sendmail-system.
You have a redirect from the queue (/etc/procmailrc), to a place, and on that place you have another config for dealing with the queue file (like $HOME/.procmailrc) with parameters for MAILDIR, DEFAULT mailfile and LOGFILE.
Hope that helped you out somehow. _________________ Life is a fog where some thinks to know where to go

Uh, hi. I already use procmail. I'm guessing you meant this for Redeeman. |

I'm curious what about fetchmail sucks. I've been using it for a long time with no problems whatsoever... _________________ Oderint dum metuant
