|
|
Busy busy busy installing a new system with a DVB-T card, but the device nodes under /dev/v4l are not created.
Running 2.6.9, with the appropriate DVB and V4L modules installed and loaded.
Code: | 0000:00:09.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01)
Subsystem: Technotrend Systemtechnik GmbH Technotrend-Budget / Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-T DVB card
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 5
Memory at de001000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) |
Module loader (it's full of rubbish ATM);
Code: | i2c-core
i2c-via
i2c-algo-bit
videodev
video-buf
v4l2-common
v4l1-compat
budget-core
budget
budget-ci
budget-av
grundig_29504-401
grundig_29504-491
nvidia |
And relevant lines form dmesg;
Code: | Linux video capture interface: v1.00
saa7146: register extension 'budget dvb'.
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:09.0[A] -> GSI 5 (level, low) -> IRQ 5
saa7146: found saa7146 @ mem d88dc000 (revision 1, irq 5) (0x13c2,0x1005).
DVB: registering new adapter (TT-Budget/WinTV-NOVA-T PCI).
TT-Budget/WinTV-NOVA-T PCI adapter 0 has MAC addr = 00:d0:5c:21:29:6d
saa7146: register extension 'budget_ci dvb'.
saa7146: register extension 'budget dvb /w video in'.
DVB: registering frontend 0:0 (Grundig 29504-401)... |
I can see the device listed under /dev/dvb/adapter0, but no /dev/v4l and hence no /dev/video.
Any ideas what's wrong with my setup? |

Nothing. You can make a symlink to /dev/video from the device in /dev/dvb/adapter0/ if you want to. _________________ "The real romance is out ahead and yet to come.
