|
|
Hi All,
Quanta+ 3.2 will no longer launch from within Fluxbox. It crashes with: Code: | The application Quanta (quanta) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV). | The terminal shows: Code: | ~:$ quanta
QPixmap: Cannot create a QPixmap when no GUI is being used
QPixmap: Cannot create a QPixmap when no GUI is being used
QSettings: failed to open file '/usr/qt/3/etc/settings/qt_plugins_3.3rc'
QPixmap: Cannot create a QPixmap when no GUI is being used
QPixmap: Cannot create a QPixmap when no GUI is being used
kbuildsycoca running...
QSettings: failed to open file '/usr/qt/3/etc/settings/qt_plugins_3.3rc'
QObject::connect: Cannot connect (null)::aboutToShow() to QuantaApp::bookmarkMenuAboutToShow()
KCrash: Application 'quanta' crashing...
QSettings: failed to open file '/usr/qt/3/etc/settings/qt_plugins_3.3rc'
~:$ Mutex destroy failure: Device or resource busy
ICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 17411, errno = 0
| However, when I launch it from within KDE, there's no problem whatsoever!
What's wrong with it and why won't it open '/usr/qt/3/etc/settings/qt_plugins_3.3rc'?
PS. Could it all be related to me updating to gcc-3.3.5-r1? (I've already run fix_libtool_files.sh 3.3.4, to fix libraries and links).
Any ideas please? _________________ Regards,
Mick

OK - I fixed it!
For some inexplicable reason I had both 3.3 and 3.2 versions installed.
I uninstalled 3.2 and am now able to run it either from with fluxbox or kde.
Problem solved! _________________ Regards,
