Is it possible to get one of these working in an old world G3? I've searched through the forums, but the only thing I can find are references to the ati-drivers being PC only, but nothing explaining how to make a 7000 work with my box or that it is even possible. Can someone help me out. _________________ Gentoo x86

Thanks for the reply, but I don't see a solution to my problem in that post. Did I miss something? _________________ Gentoo x86

It should work. The 2.6 kernels have good support for this chip. The x86-only drivers you refer to are not necessary, the kernel modules work very well. So if it fits physically and electrically in your machine it should work under Linux (but note that I have not tried it myself). _________________ Quid latine dictum sit altum videtur |
