The easiest way to add a menu is to open nautilus (aka your file browser) and type in applications:/// at the location bar. This will list all the menu items from the main menu. Right click anywhere on the screen and click on create folder. This will create a new menu within the main menu. Now you can add launchers or submenus within the new folder. When you're done adding your new items open up a terminal and type "killall gnome-panel" and your panel will reset with the new menu items or logout of gnome and log back in. |
