|
|
Hi everyone ..
How can i configure genkernel for resume compilations ..* I mean when i do make menuconfig and after make all is right (like with genkernel) but when i forget to do a module if i redo make it will only recompile the module and i can gain a lot of time ... but with genkernel he recompile all the stuff ...
Sorry if i'm not really readable ask me for more explanations ..
Thanks |

Since the only difference between genkernel and a manually compiled kernel after you have already built one is the copying over of the kernel itself to the boot dir, just run make again.
If all you did was change a module, then that's all that will get rebuilt.
Yet another of the "ooh genkernel is magically all different form actually compiling the kernel" confusees... _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /
