Does Creative Audigy LS soundcard support audio mixing on hardware level? I googled arround but didn't find any reliable info about that... _________________ All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

i don't know if the LS supports it, but my audigy gold works flawlessly - so my best advice would be just compile the alsa modules and try it _________________ Athlon 64 X2 @ 2ghz on an Asus nForce 4 w/ 1gig

Yeah. It's true. Creative Audigy LS SB really is a wrong SB to buy. It has no hardware mixing. You will find more information here. Lucky me in finding this info. I was almost on my way to store to buy it. _________________ All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. |

|
|
I found another model of sound card from Creative Labs called Audigy ES. Main details may be found here. I'm intrested in:
Quote: |
* Capable of processing, mixing, and positioning audio streams using up to 131 available hardware channels
* Full 32-bit digital mixer maintains all sound mixing in the digital domain, eliminating noise from the signal
|
Does that mean that this sound card supports audio mixing on a hardware level? _________________ All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. |
