wiec tak, zmienilem karte z nvidii na ati i mam teraz taki problem. x'y sie uruchamiaja jezeli w configu nie mam
jezeli dodam "dri" x'y sie nie uruchamiaja.
a teraz garsc informacji:

glxgears chodzi ale wyniki sa malutkie i jeszcze jest taki komunikat:

jeszcze mam taki problem, odkad zmienilem grafike nie dziala mi sterownik video "xv" w mplayerze

It seems there is no Xvideo support for your video card available.
Run 'xvinfo' to verify its Xv support and read DOCS/HTML/en/devices.html#xv!
See 'mplayer -vo help' for other (non-xv) video out drivers. Try -vo x11

problem mplayera sie rozwiazal, dopisalem pozostale opcje w configu X'a ktore tworzy fglrxconfig.
a co do tego dri, to czy to moze byc wina ze mam xorg 6.8.0 ? a jezeli tak to czy jest mozliwosc uzyskania obslugi dri w tej wersji X'a ?

i810: nie działa
obydwa moje desktopy wymagają czegoś co nie działa z 6.8 
zaczynam się zastanawiać czy migracja xfree->xorg wyszła funkcjonalności gentoo na dobre 
</rant>
Wiem że mój post nie wnosi nic nowego ale przynajmniej trochę mi ulżyło

a co do tego ze ati-drivers nie dzialaja z xorg 6.8.0 to zalezy jak to rozumiec. X'y sie uruchamiaja, glx dziala tylko ze wolno.
a tak wogole to mam dzisiaj urodziny (dwudzieste drugie) zdrowie wszystkich uzytkownikow gentoo! ! ! ! piekny system! kocham was! ! ! ! (troszke wypilem) niech sie nasza dystrybucja rozwija! gentoo uber ales, wiw la gentoo, gad sejw de gentoo! ! ! ! trzymajcie sie! ! !

| ati-drivers nie dzialaja z 6.8 w tym sensie, ze nie uzyskasz akceleracji 3D; innymi slowy xy dzialalyby tak samo bez zadnych sterow... |
