I'm looking to play *.mpc and *.wmv files with noatun. Are there plugins for these extentions or am I stuck with just mp3?

Thanks.

AFAIK, beep-media-player and xmms are currently the only applications that support playing Musepack files.

However, it looks like with the latest gst-plugins release (0.8.6), there's a new plugin for musepack playback. So Musepack support for atleast amaroK, Rhythmbox and any other gstreamer supporting application should be coming fairly soon. I think noatun uses aRts for its multimedia framework (no basis for this assumption, just a guess), so for the meantime, I don't know if there's any hope for Musepack support at the moment in that program.

Thanks for the info. I've finally gotten fed up with xmms and it's unholy crappiness. Tried BMP, same deal. I still need to give Amarok a try...

actually, you are wrong...

there is an arts plugin included with kdemultimedia, which plays mpc's, so you can play musepack files just fine with any arts-powered app, including amarok, noatun or even artsplay...
