Hey everybody,
for the last 2 months, I played with usermode linux. At least, I tried to, because my usermode-sources wouldn't compile. They always crashed during linking with an error described in https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49277
My system is based on a hardened stage1 installation.
Yesterday I recompiled gcc and libc without "hardened" in my USE variable, and guess what, after that my usermode sources compiled smoothly.
As far as I understand, a hardened profile makes no sense with a hardened-disabled gcc and libc.
Any ideas how I should proceed from now? Well, the sources compile, but at what price?
Hoping For An Answer ...
