|
|
Everyone knows that annoying popup window saying "some-old-URL.com could not be found. Please check the name and try again." in Firefox.
I wonder, is there already a possibility to remove that popup window? I hate any unrequested [transient] windows and I'd just want to get an empty tab with no popup window when a host name is invalid.
I would have to invest a lot of time digging through everything to find out.
So, is there an option somewhere (or a browser extension) which prevents that window from appearing?
Thanks in advance. _________________ get_user("tiktak")->post_counter++; |

In about:config, there's an option about using XUL error pages. I forget exactly what it's called, but that returns a pretty page with a "try again" link rather than a popup. |

that worked! I toggled "browser.xul.error_pages.enabled" to "true" in about:config and the popups have gone!
Thank you very much _________________ get_user("tiktak")->post_counter++; |
