|
|
Hello
I have recently compiled and successfully installed 2.6.7-hardened-r15
and enabled support for SMB. I thought it would be nice to remove the
samba ebuild from my server.
Could someone help me to get this to work? If I stop the Samba service then I can not reach my shares from my PC. I suspect that some other configuration is needed but where?
Thanks

Not quite sure what are you trying to do here... but anyway, I hope you are aware that kernel SMB support just means client support (mount remote shares with this system), not server support (expose share on this system to other machines). |

Ok - It is the server support I am aiming at.
Thanks for your reply
