Trying to print anything other than text results in a poor quality print out with both the foomatic/bj8pa06n.upp driver and gimp-print drivers
It looks like it is really low resolution / poor dithering (you can see all the dots - no solid colour). I have tried all of the different dithering options under gimp-print-5.0.0_beta2 (and 4.2.6/4.2.7) but still get the same results. Printed at 600x600 dpi.
I have tried the turboprint package and get great results (apart from the logo!!!)
Has anyone managed to get a decent quality output with the gimp-print/foomatic drivers or am I wasting my time?
Guess I could just go with turboprint but I can't seem to print from the gimp to the turboprint driver.
