Hello out there.

I have a "Creative Inspire 5300" sound system which with 5 satellites and one subwoofer
Everything is okay with it excepting one issue: both front speakers have very bad quality in linux!

When I boot Windows they are okay, but with ALSA in Linux it is awful. Either I put PCM down and they are VERY quiet, or the sound volume is okay and quality is bad (cracking).

What to do? :-/
I tried playing arround with different alsa-mixers for a long time, without success.

further information:
- emu10k1 soundchip
- alsa compiled in 2.6.7 gentoo-sources kernel
