What is the latest Gentoo distro

And also, with Gentoo distros is the distro only a demo, like (RedHat) where you stop reciving errata updates, and have to pay for them, or is everything free? Also where can I download the latest gentoo distro?

The latest Live Cd release is 2004.3. Gentoo is completely free, no hidden fees or something. It's a different/harder than Red Hat, but you'll learn alot too! Just check out http://www.gentoo.org for documentation in your prefered language.
