|
|
If I try to end the session in my user account, I can only use "logout" at the bottom of the kde start menu. This reboots the pc.
If I try the same in my root account (a kde GUI), I can end the session and get the dialogue box that offers the options to end the session, shut down the system or reboot the system.
How would I go about getting the same options for my user account ?
regards

You need to use KDM as your display manager. I've used KDE with GDM and seen what you describe before. _________________ "The song I've written for you is so schmultzy it'll make 'Moon River' sound like a farting orangutan." - Homer Simpson |

cat /etc/rc.conf | grep DISPLAYMANAGER

Nope, it doesn't appear to be that, as I get this
Code: |
bash-2.05b# cat /etc/rc.conf | grep DISPLAYMANAGER
DISPLAYMANAGER="kdm"
bash-2.05b#
|
I did try changing it to capitals i.e. KDM too see if that made any difference, but it doesn't.
Any further ideas or suggestions much appreciated
regards
