Can you use kppp as it's the easiest? Otherwise there's a manual HOWTO.

how do I even install this on my harddrive? I've used Linux before but I've never set up my internet connection with the command prompt. I really wanted a fast light distro but if this won't work I'm gonna have to my second choice (Debian) I'm sure if I didn't have dialup I could set it up a lot easier but I can't get high-speed where I live.

Sure you can.
What do you have for TV? If you have satellite, then you are good to go because DirectTV offers DirectWay which is satellite internet. Not as fast ad Cable/DSL, but much faster than dial-up. If you are a gamer, pings will be high, but actual speed isn't. You also get a discount if you have DirectTV and DirectWay, with DirectDuo. (Both on same bill, one satellite)
