New Mail Notification Program Request

Hi all, i would like to know of any programs that will give me a "You have new Mail" type popup window whenever i get new mail. Currently i use thunderbird but it seems to only be able to play a new mail wav, is there an extension that will give me what i need? There is also mail-notification but it requires a whoel lot of gnome stuff. I use fvwm but also have kde-base installed. Any suggestions...
