Other types of UNIX put entries in utmp and wtmp to indicate the time changed. Think about it for a moment, how do you interpret utmp/wtmp if the clock is changing and you don't know that? The answer is you interpret it wrong, that's how.
I don't even see an entry in /var/log/messages when ntpdate changes the time. Maybe it's my syslog-ng set up. |
