Hi! I'm writing from links2 'cause i'm in the middle of stage 1.
Is it possible (and how can I do)to use the second eth adapter to share internet acces with my second pc (windows xp)? I think the biggest problem is that my isp assigned me only one ip and no more so i have to set up a simple router (no nat, no firewall, etc) with the restricted commad set of the live cd. thanks

Can't you use masquerade? I think the LiveCD has iptables support, it should be easy to just assign a static IP to your second ethernet adapter and run a simple iptables forwarding script.
Have a look at this page. _________________ Hello. |

it's not possible to just hook the other computer up to the internet? I ask because it's probably just going to be faster to unplug the cable modem for a minute, plug the other computer into it and then plug the cable modem back in (I'm assuming that it's a cable modem cauz this sounds like one of those deals ^_~)

metv,
You cannot share a single public IP between two PCs without NAT.
will set up eth 1 while you are doing a stage 1. You must execute it outside the chroot.
You could use your windows box to do internet connection sharing. _________________ Regards,
