I am trying to put a serial number in vmware but am getting errors, it says something to the effect of
error saving serial: invalid or
error saving serial: no match
any suggestions

| No its for vmware I got it from the vmware website when I signed up for a trial. |

| I have tried a few different times, downloading trial serials, but no luck I have found stuff around in forums that other people were having the same problem but I have not found a result. |

| I thought I solved it but I didn't. Still serial errors wont let me use the software. vmware doesn't support gentoo really so I stuck right now. |

hahaha serial was made to avoid hackers get free software not block users ...  this protection scheme is so good that it even block regular users. a firend of mine downloaded the beta 5 and used the old serial and it work prety nice.

i was using vmware recently and i just san say ! it is the only fashion i would use windows : i got a unknow virus that mesed up with xp setings ... bla bla . i was painless to restore windows and have good perf

this might not help but version problems?
i was trying to get vmware5 serial to vmware4 and was wondering why this heck wont work
