| Anyone know how to get this to work properly (id est what to build, modulate, remove from the kernel, et cetera) to get a Radeon 8500 to work properly in Xorg6.8.0 using their drivers? I'm all out of ideas now, so if somebody knows what to do for kernel settings and xorg.conf settings, I'd finally know what bliss is. |

I would normally re-direct you to the exceedingly absurd amount of topic/post(s) relative to this issue... however, I have an even crappier Radeon 7000. So i have an understanding.
your best option or you may have to run the entire command which i can't recall right now.. apologies:/ run the complete command as your_user. From there you should configure the X server settings using the gui tool that the above codes will produce.
Lastly, just keep look around and you will find the right link;)
