Hello,
I'm a newbie to the linux world and am planning to use gentoo to run a mail server.
I am looking for mail server software with a nice web based interface for the users.
I have used squirrelmail before but the users didn't seem to like the web interface. I am looking for other options than squirrelmail with similar funtionality.
Can anyone give me some suggestions? or is suirrelmail the #1 choice. |

I would recommend you look at some of the php-groupware type apps. OpenXchange has the best web based e-mail I have ever seen but the install is massive. _________________ write quit bang |

I've found openwebmail (http://openwebmail.org/) to be much better/faster then squirrelmail (but a little more hassle to install IIRC) |

I have used a few different over the years, and the one I get the best user responce from is Horde/IMP. However, it can be a right pain in the but to get up and running at first.... Once it is up and running though, it works wonderfully. |
