|
|
Hello,
Recently, I backed up a bunch of my data to DVDs. Basically, the DVDs contain 1 zip each that can be up to 4 gigs. At either rate, I can copy, open, etc these files in Windows. However, in Linux it stops at around 500 megs (sometimes its 502 and sometimes its 508 megs). Would anyone have any idea why this would occur? Does anyone have a way I could copy these files from the DVD in Linux?

Oh, and the error it gives is its a Bad Disk Block when it gets to that point in the copying. |

Do you have /tmp mounted on tmpfs? With 512 MB of system memory? If so, you'll need to unmount /tmp and put it on disk. And if not, then the problem lies elsewhere. |

That was it. I actually just cleared some uneeded files off /tmp and it worked fine Thanks! |
