Hello,
I just read in a mailinglist that I can increase my VT-Linebuffer-Size by adding video=scrollback:255K to my kernel paramters.
Due to frambuffer-pictures ma kernelparamters are allready:
video=vesafb:ywrap,mtrr,1024x768-16@85 splash=verbose,theme:genmatrix
how can I add the "scrollback:255K" to my kernelparameters?
video=vesafb:ywrap,mtrr,1024x768-16@85,scrollback:255K splash=verbose,theme:genmatrix (my try) screw it up :/ (kernel worked but in vga mode)

http://www-uxsup.csx.cam.ac.uk/redhat/howto/BootPrompt-HOWTO (5.2. The `video=scrollback:...' Argument)

Try "video=vesafb:ywrap,mtrr,1024x768-16@85 video=scrollback:255K ..."

Have a look into /usr/src/linux/Documentation/fb/modedb.txt
kernel documentation wrote:
To specify a video mode at bootup, use the following boot options:
video=<driver>:<xres>x<yres>[-<bpp>][@refresh]

where <driver> is a name from the table below.

The documentation seems to be outdated so you maybe must use the source ;)

Thanks for your suggestion but I'm not sure if it works.
My framebuffer is still ok and my scrollback-buffer is large enough as far as I tried. I don't know if it's more than without the parameter but it's ok!

If anyone surely knows how to do it, tell me ^^
