|
|
Hello,
cabled LAN usally don't need any settings besides IP, subnet and gateway (or do it with DHCP). These settings are done in /etc/conf.d/net.
But before I can set these settings on a wireless 802.11 (iw* tools) I need to set ESSID, WEP/WPA keys and channel. What is the Gentoo way to do this upon boot?
Thx,
Florian |

I assume you read the gentoo-wiki.com article and you read the topic here in the forum about wireless configuration?
Footnote: there isn't a standard wireless lan bootup method yet. For me, I just use a script I put in /etc/conf.d/local.start. |
