i've got ADSL connection which uses PPPoA. as far as i know scripts provided on the LiveCD refer to ADSL connection using PPPoE. another problem is that in order to make that connection run, i'd need additional modules which aren't provided on the LiveCD. namely those're the drivers for Sagem Fast 800 ADSL modem. well i do have sources, but they require kernel sources which are non-existant on the LiveCD, in other words i can't compile them on LiveCD and even if i compiled those drivers on a running Linux system with kernel of version equal to that on the LiveCD, i'd have to place them in /lib/modules/{kernel-version} directory which is impossible as far as i know (since it's on the CD). Finally in order to make my modem run i had to complie support of usbdevfs into the kernel and i don't know if it's compiled into the kernel on LiveCD. what should i do in order to run that connection, of course if it's possible (but i persume it is). |
