After a sudden power loss, my hard disk wouldn't boot because it couldn't mount 2 of my partitions. After running reiserfsck --rebuild-tree my system partition worked pretty well, but the partition with all my personal files just have this folder called lost+found ! I have seen that folder in other places.. but I have no idea what it is for. I guess it can help to recover my files.. but I have no idea how and googling for "lost+found" doesn't helps much except for the explanation about what that folder is.. *cries like a sissy* _________________ Ask smart questions and follow the guidelines to get your post answered|Answer a unanswered post! |

Coz,
lost+found is where the recovery tools put file fragments that were 'found' during recovery. Its up to you to make sense of anything you find there. _________________ Regards,
