Hello!
I just thought I'll make it very easy with gentoo but inserting the command 'emerge gentoo-dev-sources' resulted in an error message:
Code: | aux-get() : (o) Error in sys-kernel /development-sources-2.6.*.ebuild (--debug)
..
..
..
check for syntax error or corruption in the ebuild (--debug) |
because I didn't know how (with which program and option) to debug I rebootet. I again inserted 'emerge-webrsync' chrooted and so on and gave the command 'emerge gentoo-dev-sources'. This time it din't result in an error mesage but it didn't actually fetch anything from net but only counted up to 1 from 12 as if the data already was on my disk. But on /usr/src wasn't no kernelsource to find.

I had no problems with the command, maybe you should try an emerge --sync again and rerun the command?

excactly what I did. it didn't give me that error message again but it did not suceed in owning the kernel source in my /usr/src directory. |
