xfree 4.2.99 + mouse in quake3 problems

I am running xfree 4.2.99 with the fancy alpha-blended mouse pointer. It looks nice, but unfortunately it seems to prevent quake3 from receiving input from the mouse. Anyone know how to get around this? Or at least how to disable the special pointer?

Just wanna say, i have the same problem :-)

But ut2003 works fine.

odd, i have the 32b and i sitll cant get the mouse to work
it is odd it was working for a while quake3 crashed then i reboot and it does not work at all now
(quake3 start just no mouse)

I was running 4.2.99 and had this problem with wolf and I think q3. try:
dgamouse 0 or in_dga 0
seems one of those helped, sorry for all the uncertainty

heh sorry i got it to work right after i presed send, i just regot the patch and re did it and it works now thinsk. heh i need to update my thing because i dont use wolk anymore i use a ck2 for the 2.4.20
