I'm having a problem with Mutt that I can't seem to get worked out though I'm sure it's a simple thing. At some point Mutt started opening the ~/.maildir folder instead of my ~/MuttMail and I don't have easy access to my mail. Here's the top line in Mutt:

- 1 ~/.maildir/ 0 Del 0 Msgs 0 0K (all)

It didn't do this before and the config files havent changed as far as I know. How do I change it back to opening my MuttMail folder?

Thanks!

I had that too. I just start mutt with:
Code:
/usr/bin/mutt -f ~/MuttMail

I add -m mbox because that's what I use and then I made mutt an alias to that whole command. There's probably a myriad of ways to get around this...

.maildir is default when mutt is compiled with USE=maildir
You can see the current settings in /etc/mutt/Muttrc and override them in ~/.muttrc
Hint
Code:
set folder=~/MuttMail
set spoolfile= ??

I have that in my .muttrc, but I still get the .maildir line at the top of Mutt. Maybe that's normal?

When I type 'c' I get the mailbox list in the MuttMail folder.

Mutt should open up in spoolfile. It is ~/Maildir/in/ in my case, caused by set spoolfile=+in in my .muttrc.
