It seems as though the version of jpegtran (from media-libs/jpeg) is able to do lossless rotation but not lossless crops.
There is a lossless crop patch on www.jpegclub.org. Has anyone tried it? |

I have likewise read about the patch and, I, too, am interested if either NaN or anyone else has tried it and can give an opinion of how it works?
Thanks... _________________ "Primum non nocere" ---Galen |

Move patches to a patchset. Add fixes from Debian, support for lossless
cropping #71122, and support for exif data #38503.

Will try it in the next days - do you now whether any GUI programm uses this feature (e.g. digikam, gimp)? |
