ndiswrapper and wpa_supplicant the gentoo way?

I have a bit of a problem with the init-scrips using ndiswrapper and wpa_supplicant. Since net.wlan0 is automatically started when ndiswrapper loads, it won't be able to associate with my AP since wpa_supplicant isn't started. And if I try to set net.wlan0 to start using rc-update, it won't since gentoo thinks it's allready started.
Also, when I stop net.wlan0, it is able to detect that wpa_supplicant is running, and stops it aswell. But it does not restart it when i bring net.wlan0 up again. Is there some setting I've missed or is this support not yet completed?
