X core cursor; how to edit

Where is this X core cursor. Is it a image or build into the source code. Can I edit it to look like win98 cursor; if so; HOW?

Tried with X cursor themes, it flickers. Tried Disabling HWcursor. No use, Only the core cursor is flicker free. [My hardware: i810e chipset]

Somebody answer this, I dont want core cursor and cursor that flickers.
