[ALSA] Line in stops working

Hello,

I have a problem with playing audio from line in on my machine.
My gentoo machine is hooked up to my audiosystem and works great, but now i have another machine with a tv card that i want to use, the tv-card works with a cable that goes to a line in (usually on the same machine but now i want that to the gentoo box).
If i start the tvplayer on the 2nd machine, the audio starts to play on my gentoo box, but stops after a few seconds..

I'm using alsa and the audiocard is some onboard i810
