Hi, I've installed grub, but when I boot my system I don't get a menu I just get the grub prompt, if I boot from the command line i can load gentoo and windows xp.
this is my grub.conf
default=0
timeout=30
spalshimage=(hd0,5)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title=Gentoo Linux
root (hd0,5)
kernel /boot/bzImage root=/dev/hde7
title=Windows XP Pro
root (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
How can I get Grub to display a menu on boot,

Have you done :
ln -s /boot/grub/grub.conf /boot/grub/menu.lst |
