I installed gPHPEdit Version 0.9.50. I try to check out the integrated help. But, it says that it can't find the help.

I tried to look online, but, seems as if I am alone getting this problem. Any ideas what is causing the problem? How to get the integrated help for the php functions? Thanks! _________________ ADDictED to PoweR!

Finally, after exhausting everything, I mailed the developer up who is also a gentoo user and a member of forums. It was actually the php-docs which I had not emerged. After emerging, it worked fine
Code: | root# emerge -v app-doc/php-docs |
The help is really cool gPHPEdit is amazing! _________________ ADDictED to PoweR!

Hi,
same problem like above. gPHPedit doesn't show any help. I've installed php-docs, but still I don't get any help.
At the homepage of the project there's no documentation. And also there's no manual. So did I forget anything?
I don't get any error-messages. When I press F1 or choose the help from the menu nothing happens.
Anyone ideas? |

Sorry for the late reply, I search for gphpedit every so often on here, but haven't done in a while.
OK, can you run gphpedit from a terminal, type mysql_connect in to the document that opens, highlight it and hit shift-F1.
If this doesn't work, what does gphpedit print at the terminal?
Also try doing a:
Code: | locate function.mysql-connect.html |
And see where it finds it.
Cheers,

Hi.
I have got the same problem like musv: gPHPedit (0.9.91) doesn't show help.
I have installed gnome-extra/gtkhtml-2.11.1, app-doc/php-docs-20071125-r2 and dev-lang/php-5.2.6_rc1-r1 with doc USE.
Code: | $ gphpedit
Help for function not found: closedir
Help for function not found: mysql_connect |
Code: | locate function.mysql-connect.html
/usr/share/doc/php-docs-20071125-r2/en/html/function.mysql-connect.html
/usr/share/doc/php-docs-20071125-r2/pl/html/function.mysql-connect.html |
Any ideas?
