i am wondering
when you boot from a liveCD are you in some sort of x session?
the cd does a good job of detecting the graphics system. the cd seems to load the proper graphic drivers and set thing at a very good resolution. so if it is some sort of x session, whre do i find the x-config file or the boot log so i can gleen the settings from the file to setup my x server?
thanks

No, that's not an X server, it's a frame buffer. |

digitall2000,
Its a framebuffer console with a splash image. No X involved.
Run to get a corg.conf file to play with.
It will want some fine tuning when X is up. _________________ Regards,
