After upgrading FreeType: fonts in Firefox (and Thunderbird) got messed up:

Look at the 's' letter in 'Bookmarks' and equal signs in address bar - it's not correct. Any tip how to fix it? _________________ [color=gray:17697d0166]http://dev.gentoo.org/~nelchael/[/color:17697d0166]

nelchael lib # rm libfreetype.so
rm: remove symbolic link `libfreetype.so'? y
nelchael lib # rm libfreetype.so.6
rm: remove symbolic link `libfreetype.so.6'? y
nelchael lib # ln -s libfreetype.so.6.3.4 libfreetype.so
nelchael lib # ln -s libfreetype.so.6.3.4 libfreetype.so.6
nelchael lib # |

This did not work for me after upgrading to freetype 2.1.9 which just hit ~x86. Help, it looks terrible! |

I tried recompiling fontconfig thinking it might be a config problem - but I'm still seeing this problem, please can anyone help? Additionally, since this is obviously not solved, can [SOLVED] be removed from the title too? Otherwise this thread is probably going to be ignored... |

Yes, this was resolved with 2.1.9-r1, sorry for not posting back here. Also if anyone uses a specific bitmap font, ProFont, it breaks with the new FreeType - so I've re-encoded it to make it work again if anyone needs it. |
