|
|
Hi,
I just upgraded my kernel: 2.6.9-r9 to 2.6.9-r13.
I used the same .config, so compiling was very easy. The kernel runs very good but now I noticed that I have to emerge the ipw2100 module again.
I booted with the new kernel and tried
emerge ipw2100
But the driver was installed in /lib/modules/2.6.9-gentoo-r9/
What have I done wrong and/or how I have to configure portage so it installs the modules in the file structure for the new kernel.
Thanx _________________ Please notice the back of this message. |

For ipw2100 (and most module ebuilds) to install correctly, you need the /usr/src/linux symlink to point to the correct location, /usr/src/linux-2.6.9-gentoo-r13 in your case. |
