Hello.
I'm trying to install Linux-2.6.10-ac7. I'm using udev on an Athlon XP3000+, with nvidia.
The boot goes uneventfully until Init Version 2.84 starts. Then it hangs with a black screen.
I have been able to get Linux-2.6.10-mm1 to work but was hoping that maybe ac7 would let my system power off.
Any ideas? |

The power off stuff might be that you don't have the ACPI stuff turned on in the kernel. Check your kernel settings by doing the configuring the kernel steps again from the install manual. Just don't compile it and replace unless you changed something. |

I did check that; in fact it is the same setting that worked on a previous system that worked correctly. As I recall, it is the ACPI processor setting. |
