|

ls /boot/kernel*
ls /boot/initrd*
both return an error:
file or directory does not exist.
How can I remedy this?
Thanks. |

you need to mount the boot partition first: Code: |
mount /dev/hda1 /boot
|
.... where /dev/hda1 is your boot partition |

If you already mounted that maybe you have to build kernel and copy kernel files to /boot _________________ - Tebu |

Also note you will only have an initrd if you use genkernel to make your kernel. After running genkernel it will automatically copy the kernel and initrd to /boot. |

If genkernel returns to the command prompt without saying it failed for any reason then it was sucessful. |
