|
|
I recently replaced my CD drive with a CD-RW drive. Well, after I did that I went ahead and emerged X-CD-Roast and testing the writing of cd's from my machine. The cd burn worked fine so I though no more of it.
Today I'm trying to mount a cd in my CD-RW and it keeps failing. Keeps saying that /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 doesn't exist. I look in the folder and sure enough. It isn't there anymore. Is my device called something else because it's a CD-RW? What is it called?
I can still burn CD's to the CD-RW but I can't mount cd's in the drive.
Any ideas? _________________ Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. |

Are you using SCSI emulation? I believe that uses /dev/srX as the device. It's been a while though. There's some info here. _________________ The free market gave me gonorrhea. |

I am using SCSI emulation, but I don't see the device you listed under /dev.
Also, I did NOT rebuild my kernel after the drive was replaced. I did not think I would need to since the device burns CD's just fine. _________________ Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. |
