Hi, i hope this is the right subforum to post into :/ if not i'm sorry
I tried to get my printer working using these threads:

The install worked fine - i can choose the Epson Linux drivers in the HTML Cups interface. But my printer doesn't print. (trying to print with print test page on http://localhost:631/printers)
I also check this one out:

This low-level test, as given in the how-to does nothing aswell.

Have you tried using your filter directly? for example, if you wanted to print some postscript file, you would pass it through the filter, and then send the output to the printer. This should help you determine whether your problem is the filter or your CUPS configuration.

found some time to mess around with my linux-printer-stuff again - and tried what you told me (or atleast i hope i tried what you wanted me to try :/)
and no it's not printing this way

sidenote: i didn't had a ekpd file in /etc/init.d , so i copied it from file:/home/mooff/pips-sc65_66s-2.6.2/ekpd/ and then started /etc/init.d/ekpd .....
i think this was correct, since the ekpd readme says this one:

should only work if ekpd is started - and this one gives me the nice status window of my printer (how much ink is left in it and so on)
hope someone can help me to track the error down why i don't get it to print

Ok, I'm not so sure pstoraster is the filter that would convert from ps to your printer. I don't even have pstoraster on my system. Though I have a Lexmark Z42. Anyway, I took a peak at the ekpd driver and it seems it doesn't work for 2.6 kernels. Look here. Besides, there's something else you might want to try. Here's a quote from nutzboltz:

"EPSON Stylus C62 - CUPS+Gimp-Print v4.2.6"
and all is well and printing fine. |
gimp-print doesn't mention your exact printer is supported, but they do support Epson models than may be identical. |
