Hi,

I have had this ongoing problem with USB2 since I have set up using my USB stick

I never bothered with ehci with 2.4 but when I moved to 2.6 and wanted to use udev with a new usb stick I have had no end of problems

I started with 2.6.8 (trying all releases)
but with ehci and uhci either as module (or in the kernel) my system was very yerky. I tailed my log and I kept getting usb disconnect messages and new device found at usb location <AN INCREASING INTEGER>

I removed the ehci module and I didnt get these warning and all is smooth.
Now tried it with 2.6.9 when thay came out but there was probs with harddrive data-copying (very slow)

Now I am at 2.6.10-r4 and problem still exists. I now am only using the uhci modules since the ehci module slows my syastem down with logging.

I really want USB2 support (since I have a 256meg USB stick)

So what is the problem, how do I fix it, and is the problem between ehci and uhci interacting

Ie if running uhci on its own is fine, will running ehci on its own solve this problem (can ehci run at usb1 speed?)
