I have a few system-monitor type scripts that continuously output data, and I'd like to be able to have them display in a gnome panel. Is that possible? I'm thinking something like embedding a terminal into a panel? In FVWM, for example, you can "swallow" apps like xterms into its panels. But so far the closest thing I see in Gnome, in the "Add to panel..." dialogue, is "Command Line" ... but that only lets you launch apps.

Thanks,
