My disk is constantly thrashing about, dunno why but probably because something is accessing my harddrive. If that is the case, which process is doing that? I have absolutely no idea where to look. It's NOT metalog, when I switched it off it didn't make any difference. And yes, DMA is enabled on my hd. Here's my current output of top:

Can't help much but,
- see if it does it when no software of any kind is loaded; i.e. BIOs & single user mode
- I put mine in a plastic case and wrapped it in foam! |

It's only 20gb and if it cooks then yum yum platters 4 me tonight |
