Hi All
I'm looking at setting up a wireless network in my house in the UK, involving my Gentoo box.
I already have the following.
gentoo box x2
Linksys Wireless access point x1
laptops x4
Netgear ADSL wireless router
10/100 Switch
cables
The Wireless ADSL router is downstairs, and it provides a good signal strength to the rest of the house (upstairs and downstairs, have tested using windows laptop)
This is how I'd like the network to look.

So, currently the only thing I dont have, is a wireless network card for my Gentoo box.
I'm no stranger to gentoo, but my wireless knowledge is unfortunately pretty slim so bear with me..
So with that in mind, my questions are threefold:
What sort of network card should I get, or which do you recommend? (preferably one that works well with linux)
and
once I have the card, can you point me in the direction of some help regarding setting it up under linux
and
Does the proposed diagram above look do-able?
Many Thanks

I got a Cisco Aironet 350 which works very well, you could find the utilities for managing the network in portage. _________________ Google, really. |
